Notice to dog walkers

East Staffordshire Borough Council enforcement officers have been in and around the village recently and produced the following disturbing report. Whilst the Parish Council acknowledges that the majority of dog owners dispose of litter responsibly, this kind of behaviour from a minority is unacceptable. Please report offenders to the number below.

Disposing of a dog bag in the bushes is a Littering offence. Our officers have recently cleared 116 bags just from the Jinny Trail, Rolleston. Contact us on 01283 508036 if you know who the culprits are.

Neighbourhood Development Plan Update

It has come to our attention that the draft neighbourhood plan May 2018 version requires some further consultation with statutory consultees.  As such, to ensure we are still compliant with the regulations, we shall be re-running Regulation 14 in June 2018.

We are withdrawing this current version for amendment and Regulation 14 on this version is closed.

The Parish Council would like to thank all those who have taken the time and effort to make comments and these will be fully considered in due course.

Bank holiday sun for the Transport Festival

Glorious May weather brought out the crowds for the 10th annual Transport Festival and Garage Sale. Vehicles and crowds packed The Croft and surrounding areas for another fantastic village event. Well done to all of the volunteers and organisers who again gave their time for the benefit of the community.

Rollestonian of the year!

Congratulations to Richard Bush, Rollestonian of the year 2018. Following his decision to step down as village webmaster after 20 years of stirling service, Richard received many nominations and was justly awarded this honour.

Richard is pictured here receiving his award from Jason Wyatt, chair of The Parish Council.

Annual Village Meeting

The annual village meeting will take place in The Old Grammar School at 1930 on Tue 22nd May 2018. Please join us to hear from a range of village groups about their activities of the past year and a view of their plans for the future.
