Final act of remembrance
The bells of St Mary’s Church, Rolleston, will be rung half-muffled for Evensong, from around 5.15pm on Sunday 7th April 2019, in memory of Private Albert Rusconi, the final local casualty from Rolleston-on Dove of the devastating conflict of World War One.

A fantastic effort to reveal the kerb along Brookside.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who braved the strong winds to make a great start to our cleanup campaign this year. It was especially good to see so many children join in and taking pride in our village.

Neighbourhood plan update
The Rolleston on Dove Neighbourhood plan has now been submitted to ESBC to start the Regulation 16 process. This process will see the plan not only reviewed by ESBC but also submitted to an independent assessor for formal review. This submission follows months of work by the Neighbourhood plan committee, building on the work of the previous committee plus the valuable feedback from the Parish, statutory bodies and our external consultants. A huge thank you to all those who contributed.
Depending on the process now being undertaken, we anticipate that the plan will go to the village by referendum some time around June. A copy of the submission can be found below:
School Crossing Patrol Vacancy

Village Green Application – College Fields
There will be public enquiry on the 12th-14th March which will be chaired by an independent QC. The enquiry will be conducted to assess the validity of the application to turn the college fields site into a village green.
If you have any evidence to support the application or that you feel is relevant please complete the form below and drop it into Mr Liam Holmes at 9 Forest School St. Attached you will also find a map of the area which should be included with any returned evidence.
